Yellow Gypsy Skirt

The biggest dilemma I always have is dressing nicely for teaching but also looking cute and being comfortable. It's quite a tall order and sometimes I think we'd all be better off if teachers were allowed to wear jeans every day. Though I would probably get bored if that was the case, I always worry about getting my cute clothes dirty not to mention I need to be able to move, move, move in whatever I'm wearing. Even though there are several more weeks left of my summer I've already started to think about dressing for those first few weeks when the weather is still summer-like and I'm running around more than usual. So please excuse me, readers, while I test out some of my outfit ideas on you.

This outfit is a good combo of comfortable, appropriate, and pretty darn cute. It was all inspired by the skirt, the gypsy/peasant-like cast-off from my mom. I love the color of it but the elastic waistline is a bit challenging. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I asked Nick more than once if this outfit made me look fat. I get weird sometimes when I get dressed but I'm very picky. A girl's gotta look good right? I was super happy when it all came together and makes me look like the cute teacher I am. And the waistline turned out a-okay too.

For now this outfit will be tucked back into my closet and I'm pulling out some short shorts and open-backed sundresses for this weekend. The summer time is for dressing for a sun tan and hopefully Nick and I will be getting a good amount of sun while we spend the weekend at some places in Philly. Shockingly we're sacrificing beach time to head into the city but it's all for some good food, drinks, and friend time. I've missed our weekend shenanigans in Philly!
