Wearing: Bootie-licious

sweater: f21 (previously worn here), jeans: levi's 510, booties: target (previously worn here)

This is the last post in my remix of my all-white post-Labor Day outfit. I adore these open-toed booties and, to be honest, they are the easiest thing of all to wear again and again and again. While they look great with all white, this nude color works with just about everything. I always thought an open-toe bootie was impractical because it's essentially "dipping a toe" in both the summer and the winter but they are just right for fall. Just like a nude heel, they work miracles for elongating your legs while wearing a skirt pre-tights season. They're also pretty sexy at the end of your skinny jeans. My only complaint about this pair I scooped up at Target last year is the snap closure at the ankle. So word to the wise: look for a zipper or, better yet, a slip on.

Tomorrow is the first official day of fall but remember, you don't have to retire all of your summer clothes just yet. White pieces are not the only summer clothes that can be remixed into your fall wardrobe. Tank tops are so easy to layer under cardigans or with flannel button downs. Pulling jean shorts on over your tights is a fun, casual alternative to wearing a skirt on the weekends. A simple cotton dress can be layered under a skirt to be your funky new blouse. And now you've doubled the size of your wardrobe without spending a penny!
