Wearing: Just Say Yes to the Sweatshirt
I am not a casual person and I don't like to wear what I consider "lounge" wear out of the house. If I choose to wear a sweatshirt out of the house it is usually to make a Starbucks run. But, on the other hand, I love to be cozy. Nothing makes me want to retreat more into a sweatshirt and flannel like morning frost and chilly evenings and leaves on the trees. So what's a picky dresser to do? Search high and low for the perfect not-so-casual sweatshirt and rejoice when J.Crew comes through once again. How adorable is this sweatshirt?! I know you've seen it around here before but I decided to cozy it up even further and pair it with my favorite over-sized flannel shirt. The sweatshirt and flannel trend may seem a little lumberjack but that's okay because it's great for a weekend exploring the city (like I always do) or sneaking off to the country.
This has been quite some week. You may have noticed I was a bit quiet around here and social media and that was mainly due to finally realizing I couldn't handle everything on my plate all at once. A full-time job with new, added responsibilities, family time, husband time, and extra professional/graduate school projects pushed blogging and social media stuff way off my radar this week. While I'm usually not okay with this and want to do everything, sometimes you have to admit that you can't do everything all the time. If I'm going to bring you great outfits and inspiring trips, I can't have all my other work nagging at me. So that meant working hard this week and now I can have a little fun! And by a little I mean a lot as I'm heading off to Virginia this weekend! Make sure you're following along on snapchat/instagram/twitter (kendallblossoms) or all three as I bring you news from the road. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
