Wearing: The Fall Blues
chambray, jeans: f21 (previously worn here), sweater: jcrew factory, booties: nine west/dsw
While fall trees are all adorned in red, orange, and gold, I am over here pulling out my favorite blues and I am so happy about it. All shades of blue will officially be a part of my wardrobe for forever and I couldn't help snatching up this blue and white striped sweater from J.Crew Factory back when the weather was still in the 80s. What can I say, I like to plan ahead! But navy blue is such a classic color and one of my absolute favorites since it pairs with nearly everything. Funny enough, I didn't realize how much I loved blue until I scanned through my closet and found a pattern. Now it's been so much easier shopping since I'm drawn to shades of blue and anything that matches it!
This easy outfit was perfect for our trip to my alma mater in Virginia. Is it wrong to say part of the reason I chose my college was its beautiful brick buildings and all of the trees? I hadn't been back in five years and, while I'm not old, I sure sounded like it as we walked around and I was in complete awe of the changes that they'd made. What made me so happy though was that they still kept the historic beauty of the campus. All layered up for the always changing Virginia weather (that I kind of weirdly missed) it was amazing to think back about how young I really was when my parents left me in my dorm room. I didn't know anyone or how to be on my own and then four years later I couldn't imagine leaving that place. I can't wait to share more of our road trip to Virginia next week!
