Everything is so merry and bright around town with the lights and the winter windows and the tinsel but I just couldn't help myself with this black outfit. A few years ago, dressing in black would not have been my style of choice. I was all about the color, not just a pop, but all over. I still love color but I've definitely mellowed out in my "old age". This black outfit serves two purposes: being insanely comfortable and being incredibly chic. Whenever I dress in black I feel put together, even if I can barely drag myself out of bed. Thank goodness for scooping up this oversized black sweater from Target last season. While oversized can often feel sloppy, the skinny sleeves help make it look and feel more put together.
My other favorite part of this outfit is my accessories. I've always loved gold jewelry but I love the subtly of silver when paired with black and white. These bracelets are also special to me for sentimental reasons. The two cable bangles were presents from my mom, one for a birthday and the other for my high school graduation. The other link bracelet was a recent gift from my grandmother. It feels so special to have these gifts be a part of my everyday. Simple, sweet, and sentimental accessories always make an outfit that much more special.
