Wearing: Fringe For Days

Whenever anyone asks me how I find my favorite closet staples, I only have one word of advice: buy what you like. Trends will come and go but, if you don't have a big budget, your clothes will be in your wardrobe for a long time. Fringe is one of those trends that surprisingly I'm going to jump on the bandwagon with. Just look how fun it is! It adds that little something extra to a spring wardrobe. Wearing: Fringe for Days

duster cardigan: target, jeans: levi's, tee: f21, booties: lucky brand via thredup (similar), necklace: madewell, sunglasses: warby parker

This fringe duster cardigan has been on repeat since the beginning of March with no plans to take it off anytime soon. Besides the fact that I like wearing it with pretty much everything, it's been keeping me warm in the last few cold chilly weeks of spring. What's up with this weather, New Jersey? Didn't you get the message that it's May? The only upside to this dreary weather besides fringe-y cardigans is getting a little extra run out of my favorite layers. A plain tee and a pair of slim jeans are so comfortable. They look great with well-worn booties but as soon as the sun comes out, they'll look good with a fresh pair of sandals.

Speaking of the sun coming out, here's to crossing all the fingers that the weather holds out and stays nice for tomorrow. I'm headed to the Avett Brothers concert at the Mann Center and, even though I'm sitting underneath the overhang, I do not want to trek through rain and mud! Also I'm hoping to convince Nick to spend part of the day in Philly seeing what new things spring's bringing to the city before heading over. Will I be successful? You'll have to check out snapchat to find out! (search for me: kendallblossoms)
