Wearing: Swing, Swing Dress

When I was in high school, I was obsessed with the All-American Rejects. I went to the local record store (which is still in business even today) to buy their CD. I then listened to it for weeks learning every line by heart. What? They were cool for a little bit back then! In addition to my love for the All-American Rejects, I was also totally obsessed with Urban Outfitters. The closest location was in New York City, crazy far for this suburban girl. Pre-internet, I could only flip through catalogs wishing I could get my hands on some "indie" fashion. My most lusted after piece? Their simple swing dress and cozy t-shirt dresses. While I sometimes like my lyrics full of angst, I like my clothes simple. That's why a t-shirt style swing dress is the way to go. It's draped and flowy making it easy to go from day to night. Also it's an all-in-one outfit that you can throw on and go. When I saw it on the rack at Target, I knew it was going to be the perfect dress. While I originally gravitated towards the black version of this swing dress, the burgundy color is a go for spring and summer and perfect to layer with tights come the winter and fall.
