Wearing: Not Your Plain White Tee

August is here and I am still 100% in love with this summer. It won't be long before people start professing their love for fall but summer will always be my favorite. Though I may be a sweaty hot mess most days, summer is a magical time to explore from beach towns to city sidewalks. Summer, however, is not like the rest of the seasons: no layers and all light colors. Effortless style looks like anything that will keep you cool. But I hate being boring, even when it's almost a 100 degrees and it feels like lukewarm bathwater outside. So it's time to elevate the every day, right? My go-to look will always been jeans and a white t-shirt. So time to spice it up and add the perfect little detail to my plain white tee. Wearing: Not Your Plain White Tee

Such a small detail like fun flutter sleeves makes all the difference when it comes to something like a plain white tee. You can also add lace details or swingy peplum to keep it interesting. While I love a graphic tee and you know stripes have my heart, sometimes I just want it to be easy. Keeping it simple makes it easy to style the plain white tee with just about anything. If I could find the perfect pair, I'd definitely wear this top layered under overalls. I'm also contemplating ways to bring my plain white tee into the early fall with high-waisted denim.

Speaking of simple, easy, and effortless, our current house hunt is anything but. If you've been following along on twitter or instagram, you've probably seen my desperate pleas for advice. What can I say, I know what I want but I am not a patient person. We've gotten close to making an offer on a couple places but they just weren't right. I mean, asbestos pipes in the basement are bad, right? Ugh, it's hard when you're in love with old homes. The endless hunt has only intensified my Pinterest pinning. I think I've pinned enough white, fluffy bedrooms to last a lifetime! Oh well, I know that the right thing will come along in the end.

For now, we'll just keep on working on finding the dream house. If you have any tips or tricks, send them my way!
