Wearing: Jogger into Fall

Fall is in officially in the air. Can I get a high-five for cooler nights and stunning sunsets and most of all low humidity?!? Summer is my season through and through but those steamy days were starting to get to me. While it's definitely no longer summer here in Jersey, I wouldn't say that it's 100% fall. My sweaters are still securely packed away! So right now it's all about adapting what I've got. I've found the perfect solution in one pant: the jogger. Early fall days mean that you never know what kind of weather to expect. That's why layers and easy transitional pieces are your best friend. Now I for one was dubious about jogger pants. It's the looseness in certain areas that can make this style of pant tricky. However, when you find the right pair, they're just the right mix of casual and chic. My tips for finding a pair of joggers that work for you: figure out how thick you want them. These joggers are really light, windbreaker-like material: perfect for early fall. A light knit pair works too and will even get you through colder days in October and November. I also recommend choosing a pair with good elastic cuffs so you can get that effortless slouchy look.

Time for some real talk: you may have noticed that my posts have been sporadic and I've been pretty absent on social media. There is an exciting change coming up that I can't wait to share (when it's ready of course!). In September everyone's all like, "Fall! Pumpkin spice! Festivals!" but teacher life has me all like, "Testing! Crazy kids! I need sleep!" I'm trying to catch up around here but you'll have to bear with me. Since I am currently buried under a pile of curriculum binders, what fun fall plans do you have for this weekend? And so I can live vicariously through you, be sure to share your favorite spots with #localloveblossoms! Happy weekend!
