Anyone else feel like we should all receive a reward for making it through this week? I'm not talking a big trophy; a small medal will do. The week after Thanksgiving feels long but this one felt extra long. Whether it's because we just got to relax and be around family or we're not ready for a full week, this week was a doozy. For me, there were multiple meetings, a big grad school project, and some overtime work that kept me busy. But all that is behind me and I'm ready to tackle December. Send in the Christmas lights and pump up the Christmas jams! One of the things I'm tackling this season is getting pretty for all the holiday parties. While I wished I had tons of fancy parties, my invites are usually to casual and simple get-togethers. Is there nothing better than candlelight, wine, and good friends? Or laughing over a festive brunch? The only thing I can think of that might be better is finding the perfect, where-everywhere sweater that will take you from brunch to tree shopping to a cozy dinner. Mine will forever and always be the classic cable knit.

I always associated cable knit sweaters with snowy days curled up by the fire. While these sweaters are perfect cozy wear, they're also easy to dress up. To take this outfit from couch-sitting to crowd-pleasing, I relied on my two favorite accessories: fun flats and a eye-catching scarf. It was love at first sight for these Target flats. I was planning on sharing a shoe love ballad to these flats on Snapchat. They are not your boring ballet flats. There is nothing worse than ruining a perfectly good outfit with boring ballet flats. They also manage to elevate this outfit from everyday to a fun holiday...day.

This weekend I am doing ALL the holiday things, including having a cozy holiday brunch with some blogger babes. I promised I'd be a little more dressed up. I am super tempted to dress my cable knit up with a sweater and tights. But I'll resist for now. If you want to catch a glimpse of my holiday-filled weekend, catch me over at kendallblossoms on snapchat and instagram! Here's to December, ladies!
