Wearing: Black and White Weekend Wear
Happy Friday, ladies, we made it! Don't these weeks before Christmas feel so long? All I want to do all day long is wear pjs, listen to Christmas music, and stare at my pretty Christmas tree. This year I might have too much Christmas spirit. Is that such a thing? I'm planning on indulging in Christmas all weekend long with two parties and last minute shopping. If you're anything like me, you've soaked up just as much "holiday outfit" inspiration as possible. I even shared one of my own fancy holiday outfits last week. So today I'm going to take a break and show you more "down and dirty" December fashion: the shopping outfit. Because if you're going to battle the other last-minute shoppers at the mall this weekend, you might as well be comfortable in your weekend wear.
Sorry to break it to you but it's not all glitz and glam in the real life Buttons and Blossoms world. But you probably already knew that. Some days you have to put on a pair of comfortable boyfriend jeans and brave the Target parking lot. December is rough when you realize that you only did some of your holiday shopping on Black Friday weekend.
What makes the perfect weekend wear? Comfort obviously. These worn-in boyfriend jeans and leather slip-on sneakers are so easy to throw on and go. When you're going for weekend wear in the winter, you've got to have an easy jacket to throw over it all. While I usually go for a lightweight vest, the chillier temperatures call for a warmer style like this sherpa jacket with leather sleeves. I just love the mix of the two textures. Plus it's easy to slip off in the sauna-like department stores and then back on to deal with the polar vortex.
