Wearing: Florals for Valentine's Day
Fancy dinner, box of chocolate, pretty jewels, a bouquet of flowers: all the typical trappings of the "perfect" Valentine's Day. My idea of the perfect Valentine's Day? Pizza, a bottle of wine, and cuddling with my husband on the couch while watching Netflix. Don't get me wrong; I love pretty dresses and fancy dinners. I'm pretty sure I like staying in and being comfortable more. But that doesn't mean I'm ready to give up on my flowers. I decided that this Valentine's Day, I'll just wear them instead.
This will be my seventh Valentine's Day with my husband. Our very first Valentine's Day was cute and fancy and fun but now I'm just looking forward to spending some quality time together. Partially because it's on a Tuesday and mostly because we're saving our money for other things, we aren't doing presents or dinner out. However, as a teacher, Valentine's Day is a whole other story. I was in the Valentine's section of Target as soon as they set it up so I could get the perfect emoji cards. My co-teacher is getting the special Dunkin Donuts Valentine's Day donuts with heart-shaped sprinkles. And I'm trying to figure out how we're even going to get through math which is at the end of the day. This comfortable sweater-and-leggings outfit is just the right vibe for my Valentine's day plans, don't you think?
