You guys, spring is finally happening. I feel like just the other day the trees were bare. Now they're covered in bright pink cherry blossoms. The birds are chirping and the sun is (sometimes) shining. I've been digging through my closet for items that reflect the season. Of course my first thought is always florals but pastels are also a spring favorite. This whole millenial pink trend has my inner fourth grader jumping with joy (seriously, why didn't I save everything from that closet?!?). But while pastels and sweet pinks are obvious choices, bold color choices are just as perfect for the warmer weather. Mixing bright colors and pastels for spring is my favorite way to welcome this new season.

Whenever I think of adding a bold color into my closet, I always reach for a pant. You might think that it's a lot of color or will stick out too much but a bold pant can add just the right amount of balance. It's bold without being busy or difficult to style like patterns can be. My favorites are always orange, yellow, and this cobalt blue. I'm currently on the search for pink bottoms since I can't get enough! A bold bottom makes a mixing bold colors and pastels so, so easy.

Speaking of pink, this top is everything. It'll soon be put away since they're predicting 80's next weekend and I'm going to miss it. Usually I'm so excited to dig out summer shirts but this Anthropologie top is so incredibly soft. One day I was even tempted to wear it to bed! Plus the pink is just too pretty. The other thing I love about a good pink shirt is that it can work with everything. Stripes, polka dots, leopard, solids, pretty much everything goes with pink. Not fuschia, not magenta, just a calm pale pink works every time. I'm currently on the search for a summer version of this shirt. If you find one, send it my way?
