Off-the-shoulder floral forever
top: nordstrom rack, jeans: similar, shoes: similar, sunglasses: ray ban
This week was rough, guys. Actually, let's be honest, the last few months or so has been rough. Such is the teacher's life. You get two months of pure bliss in exchange for the roller coaster the rest of the year. But it also gives me the perfect excuse to indulge in all my favorites. Summer's so close I can taste it!
Lately my favorite thing is everything floral. This off-the-shoulder floral top is just the tip of the iceberg. It also just so happens that off-the-shoulder tops are my other obsession. I can't wait to share what I wore for my birthday weekend; off-the-shoulder is my kryptonite! But this floral top is a cotton jersey that is perfect for summer. Right now I'm hiding my pale pasty legs under boyfriend jeans but soon enough I'm going to break this top out with some cut-offs and white jeans.
Summer time is the perfect time for some relaxation and soaking up some serious happy vibes. How can you not be happy when the sun is shining? In honor of the summer, I'm going to start sharing some summer weekend "to do" lists. Because summer's too amazing to sit at home and watch Netflix (though I need to start OITNB season 5 sometime...) Also, I kind of love lists.
3 things for this summer weekend...
Find your perfect off-the shoulder top
OBVIOUSLY. This is seriously the most flattering type of summer top. Whether you have sleeves like above or this gingham version from Madewell (because there is never too much gingham) or this pretty white tied version. Show off a little skin and soak up the sun this weekend.
Figure out a summer hairstyle
Right now I am digging a braid since my hair is overdue for a cut and it's heavyyyy. I'm usually hopeless at doing anything with my hair but I'm gonna do it! Confidence is key, right? This list from the Everygirl is a good place to start or you can skim through my beauty and hair inspiration board for something new.
Learn how to make frosé
Last weekend, when in NYC with my brother and his girlfriend, I had my first glass of frosé at Bondurants on the Upper East Side. I don't care if this is a pinterest/instagram/twitter trend, it is DELICIOUS. Now it's time to replicate this one at home! Jessica of My Style Vita has a watermelon frosé recipe or you could do this more straightforward recipe. Seriously, you need to grab a glass of frosé!
