Why You Need a Jumpsuit for Every Day of The Year

I'm skeptical about trends. I know what I like and wear it. I mean, that's the whole premise of this blog: wear and do what makes you happy. But sometimes it's good to get out of your fashion "shell" and try something that intrigues you.

For awhile I saw jumpsuits and was like, "Okay, so now we're doing rompers with pants." Rompers were kind of my thing for a minute and they were cute. But I felt like I grew out of them. I also don't go to music festivals enough and sticky humid New Jersey summers made rompers cute for June, and only June. But over and over again I saw these gorgeous cropped jumpsuit, wide legged jumpsuits, and printed and patterned jumpsuits. So one day it was time to try a jumpsuit. Omgsh ladies, it was the best decision ever.

Jumpsuits speak to me because simple things make me happy. It's one and done. You can get up fifteen minutes before you need to be anywhere and literally "jump" into it and still look fabulous. Which makes it perfect for a day when you're feeling lazy or too busy to plan a whole outfit. I'll admit that yes, I love my clothes, but don't you just need things to be easy?

They're also effortless to style from season to season. Jumpsuits were my go-to for summer nights because, duh, they're as comfortable as pajamas. Pajama-like clothing is the only way I'm going out at night. Layering them is just as comfortable and easy. A tied up shirt on top is perfect in this weird early fall weather where the morning is cool and you're sweating by midday. As the season changes over to real fall and winter, cropped sweaters are so cozy to layer up. Is there anything better than looking chic while feeling like you're wearing pajamas?

Simple, effortless, and comfortable: literally the three words that should describe all clothing. There's so much to be said for the way a jumpsuit makes you feel put together and at ease. Those are two things I'm needing now more than ever in my busiest month of the year. I literally go from lazy days down the Shore to wolfing down an apple for lunch so I can get everything done. Every morning this week I woke up feeling almost as tired as when I went to bed. That's why I'm all about ways to make my life easier. Like going home on Friday to put on a face mask. Or taking fifteen minutes to flip through a magazine before doing all the things I "need" to do. Or embracing minimal chic clothing like a jumpsuit and a layered sweater.

I have to know: are you on the jumpsuit bandwagon with me? And how do you handle the busier seasons of your life?

More great jumpsuits for every day:
