April's Shopping List: Dresses For Every Occasion
Nothing says spring like a packed calendar full of events. It seems that as the weather gets warmer, it’s time to get out and be busy! I love getting out to see family and friends and see the sun after being cooped up during the New Jersey winter. But most of the things I’m going to, from church weddings to birthday parties to family brunches require a dresses. Since my post partum wardrobe has consisted mostly of jeans, loose tunic tops, and occasionally a pair of leggings. A lot of the dresses in my closet just aren’t up to the task. Which sent me on the hunt for spring dresses and helped me create April’s shopping list.
Florals for spring? I know what you’re going to say. But I can’t stop loving them and that’s the majority of what I found on my hunt for a dress for every occasion. The simple pale blue dress with its small floral pattern is perfect for church weddings and brunch with family. I also love the floral wrap dress because wrap dresses look great on everyone. They’re especially good if you’re not quite feeling your “spring body” (I’m right there with you).
The other fun trend that’s making it ‘round is the midi dress. If you’re not a fan of short dresses, this is the style for you. They’re perfect with a heel to dress up or flats to keep it casual. The button waist midi and the textured dot dress are perfect for birthday parties with friends or that perfect Saturday afternoon drinking a glass of white wine at a sidewalk cafe. Yes, I have very specific fantasies about where I’ll wear my clothes!
That’s why, even though it can be tough to find the perfect one, I love shopping for dresses. Once you find the right one for your event or mood, it makes the event. I still have a few dresses in my closet because they hold a certain memory.
