New Year, New Outfit

Top: Target, Tank: Forever 21, Jeans: Levi's, Heels: Elie Tahari, Necklace: Anthropologie

New Year's Eve does not excite me. I feel like there's so much hype to go out and drink and party and all that is just not my thing. Though I don't really like to brave the crowds at big parties, my boyfriend and I have found a tradition that I can stick by: dinner at a nice restaurant followed by relaxing in front of the tv with snacks and waiting for the ball to drop. Nice and easy and gets us off the roads early. Going out for dinner also gives me the opportunity to find a perfect outfit to welcome in the new year.

This year I kept it casual with my new favorite, lace. I found this cropped top at Target and loved the look. It was perfect because the evening of the big ball drop turned out to be unseasonably warm (wish we could have that weather back, right?). My skinny jeans are another one of my favorite wardrobe pieces because they are dark wash with dark stitching. Levi's make me happy! And how awesome are those shoes? I found them at DSW for almost nothing and the dark grey patent leather are a great alternative to my go-to black.

Our restaurant pick for the last evening of 2011 was El Vez in Philadelphia. It's on a corner in a trendy part of Philly with big plate glass windows and there was plenty of people watching. You don't really need that though because the inside is pure magic with a rotating pink bike above a huge circular bar and lots of crazy bright decor. Don't even get me started on the delicious Mexican food and perfect margaritas.

I couldn't have asked for a better new year and a better outfit.
