Skirt, tank top, necklace: Forever 21 (old), Sunglasses: Target
Ah, summer in New Jersey! Trips down the Shore, drinks at outdoor cafes, boardwalk ice cream, and mini adventures are only some of my favorite summer activities. Though it's not officially summer according to the calendar, it finally is in my book. I wore this outfit last weekend when my boyfriend and I traveled around the state having a few adventures before finally ending up in Ocean Grove. Since we didn't have our bathing suits, we hung out on the boardwalk anyway. I love the salty and slightly fishy smell of the Atlantic Ocean.

This outfit reminds me of all that makes summer great: light, flirty, and bright. When I saw this skirt stuffed on the racks at Forever 21, I was shocked. It reminds me of an Impressionist watercolor and seems too unique and pretty to be in a big mall store. I chose to keep it simple and pair it with a plain white tank. My pale pink multi-tiered necklace was a gift from my mom who also loves her cheap and chic buys from Forever 21. I love my pink accessories, especially the flower studs I picked up at a craft fair in Ardmore, PA. And those polka dot shades were purchased to act as my cheap beach sunglasses (able to withstand sunscreen smudges, drops in the sand, saltwater, all things I won't subject my Ray Bans to) but they are so much fun I find myself wearing them all the time. Ah, sweet summertime.
